Development & Compulsory Purchase
Mersey Gateway Compulsory Purchase
As a practice Roger Hannah & Co represent 3 significant land owners and local business’ affected by the Mersey Gateway Compulsory Purchase Order. The scheme entails the construction of a £600 million bridge over the Mersey between Runcorn and Widnes.
Our clients affected by the proposals are the Peel Group, S Evans & Sons Limited and Gussion Transport Limited. All three claims are different. One is for a major property owner, the other relates to a significant extinguishment claim and the third concerns the relocation of a transportation business from a 9 acre site.
Negotiations on all three claims are ongoing.
Our team has also represented a major multi-national company, Thermo Fisher Scientific, in successfully negotiating the relocation of their Anatomical Pathology and Chromatography Consumables Departments to a new factory location at Manor Park in Runcorn. The new site is now a designated Centre of Excellence for Thermo Fisher’s Anatomical Pathology Business.
