Our Project Management Services

Our role is to be a single point of contact, taking the burden off clients across commercial and residential sectors. Working with a project management team provides a more structured and efficient approach to your construction project – we will be on hand to manage all elements of the project, subject to requirements. Our key services can include:

  • Liaison with all stakeholders to understand their project aims and client’s brief
  • Assessment of the project’s feasibility
  • Advising on and co-ordinating the appointment of the design team and other consultants
  • Design development, in conjunction with stakeholders and the design team
  • Risk management
  • Advising on and obtaining statutory consents
  • Programme management and monitoring
  • Advising on procurement strategies
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Management of tender process
  • Analysis of tender returns
  • Contract administration and monitoring the works, including regular site inspections, consultation with the contractor and consultants to monitor construction standards and performance
  • Valuation and certification of interim payments based on progress
  • Preparing client progress reports
  • Managing any variations to the contract/works
  • Sign off of the works and final inspection following expiry of rectification period.

Contract Administration

For commercial or residential construction projects, it is essential to enter into a formal building contract in order to protect the interests of all parties concerned. We offer an impartial contract administration service to manage and oversee the procedural elements of a construction contract. We can help with:

  • Advising clients on procurement strategies and the best form of contract to use
  • Advising on payment and other provisions under a contract
  • Preparing certificates of payment

Employer’s Agent

Under a design and build project, the employer’s agent will undertake the employer’s duties and has full authority to act for the employer by managing the procurement and construction phase of a project.

The role often includes acting as lead consultant, with responsibility for project management. The employers agent often undertakes the following duties:

  • Appointment of design team & other consultants
  • Construction procurement advice
  • Contract management
  • Risk management
  • Obtaining statutory consents
  • Programme management
  • Reports and monitoring
  • Property maintenance

Development Appraisals & Project Monitoring

Development appraisals and project monitoring are generally undertaken on behalf of developers and funders in order to mitigate statutory and commercial risks.

Using our comprehensive knowledge of contracts and construction project management matters, we are uniquely positioned to offer developers and funders a unique service in order to mitigate statutory and commercial risk by:

  • Evaluating cost against budget and programme
  • Advising on project team appointments
  • Analysing the design, specification and related statutory/environmental issues
  • Advising on the suitability of building contracts including terms and conditions
  • Monitoring progress and quality of construction work
  • Preparing progress reports, including recommendations for financial drawdown
