Shearer Property Regen in partnership with Coventry City Council are bringing forward a significant regeneration scheme to Coventry City Centre. The scheme is to bring forward over 18,000m2 of new high quality public realm together with the construction of up to 1,500 residential dwellings, of which 20% will be provided as affordable housing. The City Centre South regeneration scheme will also facilitate new retail, leisure and office uses. The Grade II listed Coventry Market Hall has been incorporated within the proposed scheme and listed building consent has been approved for minor works.

Outline Planning Consent was obtained in January 2022 for the mixed-use development. In March 2024 the reserved matters application for Phase 1 was granted with works due to commence on site imminently

In order to bring forward the City Centre South scheme, the compulsory acquisition of land from existing owners and occupiers is required. Compulsory Purchase powers to facilitate the development were confirmed on the 18 April 2023. Affected parties need proper representation which is where Roger Hannah can help.
