Roger Hannah and Co acted for Adactus Housing Association in negotiations against Manchester City Council in the Toxteth Street Compulsory Purchase Order.
Adactus owned around 130 houses of which around two thirds were let under Assured Shorthold Tenancies. Adactus agreed with Manchester City Council to sell all the houses with vacant possession over a limited period of time.
In a matter of approximately 6 months, it was necessary for Roger Hannah and Co to:
- Inspect
- Value
- Negotiate
- Agree additional payments
- Obtain vacant possession
- Secure the conveyance of 130 houses
All of the above involved an intense focus to achieve this objective with it being achieved with one day left before the deadline of the end of the financial year.
Roger Hannah and Co needed to work in close partnership with both their clients and Manchester City Council to achieve the objective.
