We are now recruiting for:

Lease Advisory Surveyor

Roger Hannah is seeking a highly motivated and commercially aware Surveyor to join a successful and established Company working across all commercial property types. The successful candidate will be a graduate undertaking their APC or recently qualified Chartered Surveyor. The role is within the lease advisory team who are responsible for advising clients on lease renewals, rent reviews and all aspects L&T.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertaking and advising clients on Rent Review and Lease Renewals
  • Undertaking Market Rental valuations on a range of properties
  • Gathering, collating, and analysing evidence
  • Carrying out property inspections/viewings, preparing client reports and conducting negotiations
  • Interpreting Leases
  • Advising on sub-leasing and assignment
  • Renegotiating and advising clients on the restructure of leases
  • Providing general practice support for the team as required
  • Developing effective and long-lasting relationships with our clients
  • Developing and maintaining a strong network of internal and external contacts and to use these contacts to further develop business for our client

Key Attributes and Qualifications:

  • RICS accredited degree in Property/Real Estate
  • MRICS (preferred)
  • Experience in Lease Advisory / Landlord and Tenant work
  • Good technical and working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Acts
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and interpret market transactional and rental evidence
  • Strong and effective negotiator
  • Good organisational skills to manage and prioritise a busy and developing caseload
  • Commitment to excellence and developing strong client relationships
  • Flexible and self-motivated with a real desire to deliver excellent customer service
  • Positive attitude and willing to learn with and develop the team
  • Strong drive for results and highly proactive in order to maintain momentum and complete the task
  • Proven IT skills, including high-level Microsoft Word and Excel competencies
  • Well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines
  • Good written/communication skills with an eye for detail
